IAF MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FOR CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
The IAF currently offers 4 type of membership to clubs and organizations (NB not individual falconers); for full details please see Statute Page. For online Membership Application please go to Membership Form. If you would like to support IAF as an individual subscriber then please click here.
Member (M) - full members pay a membership fee and have voting rights.
Associate Member (AM) - is for countries where falconry is not legal at the moment.
They also pay a membership fee and have voting rights.
Corresponding Member (CM) - is by special agreement.
They do not pay any membership fee and do not have voting rights.
Supporting Member (SM) - is for organizations whose primary activity is not falconry, but who are pro-falconry in other ways for example specialist museums, wider hunting organizations, rehab centres etc."
Observer (O) - observer status may be awarded to worthy organizations that do not yet qualify for membership because they have not been in existence for the requisite two years or for whom we need further information before considering membership.
At the 45th Council of Delegates Meeting the IAF voted for a Constitutional Amendment to change voting rights of Member Organizations to allow for Multiple Votes for Member Organizations.
The changes include: a vote for every paying member and associate member organization, the retention of a single National Vote by an appointed National Delegate and additional votes "Club Votes" accorded to Member (and Associate Member) organizations with 50 or more members. Each Member Organization may hold up to 4 votes in addition to their country's single National vote. Membership must be proven, based on fees. In the case of disputes a list of members with email addresses will be requested. There are specific issues where only National votes (National Delegates) will count, such as determining a quorum. For further information on these changes contact the IAF secretary email@example.com
Completed Membership Applications are presented to the next Council of Delegates Meeting for voting.
Successful applicants are informed and fees (if applicable) are due from the next January 1st
IAF Membership Fee Calculation
The number of members from each club to be used in calculating the fees is the highest from the previous year. In other words in 2013, each club uses the maxim membership figure from 2012.
To be exempted from the fix amount, members from countries with GDP (Gross Domestic Product per capita) inferior to $10.000 (USD), should ask for it. After confirmation from United Nations Organization sources the exemption is confirmed to the club.
