Data Protection: IAF Privacy Statement

IAF is "THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR FALCONRY AND CONSERVATION OF BIRDS OF PREY". IAF is a non-profit international association governed by the provisions of title III of the Law of 27th June 1921 on non-profit associations, foundations and international non-profit associations. IAF has its registered office at: Rue F. Pelletier 82, B-1030 Brussels, BELGIUM.

All personal data collected on forms via our website is purely for internal use, for the processing of membership applications and subscriptions and for registrations for events. All personal data collected by IAF will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be used for marketing purposes or sold, disclosed or given to third parties unless required by Law. Credit Card and IBAN details are not stored by IAF and any financial transactions of this type have to be made fresh each time.

IAF does not collect IP addresses or use cookies or web beacons. Personal data collected by IAF will be stored purely to enable direct contact with the subscriber, member organization or person registering for an event. In order to serve its members and subscribers, IAF needs to hold only accurate, complete and up-to-date data which members and subscribers are encouraged to update regularly, at least annually, by email. IAF has a policy of reviewing all data supplied/obtained and deleting that which is not necessary, or which is no longer necessary.

Answers given in online forms to general, non personal, questions relating to falconry may be used in surveys beneficial to falconry and falconers throughout the world.

Under the Data Protection Acts a person has a right to be given a copy of his/her personal data. A Subject Access Request should be in writing to the above address or by email to info@iaf.org using the enquirer’s own email address that they used to submit the original data. A person also has a right to have his/her personal data corrected, if inaccurate, or erased. An Erasure Request should be in writing to the above address or by email to info@iaf.org using the enquirer’s own email address that they used to submit the original data.

IAF takes your security responsibilities seriously, employing the most appropriate physical and technical measures, including staff training and awareness and reviewing these measures regularly.
