Falconers hunt prey with their birds in its natural state and habitat and have strong views on the welfare of their hawks. Only a bird that is in optimal physical and psychological condition can be a successful hunter. This free course consists of texts, audios, and videos, which form the core material necessary for completing the questionnaires that appear at end of each section. There are also links to additional material in the form of documents and papers that have been cited in the core material and to videos from outside sources that can clarify your understanding. Those who work through the course accurately and who answer a sufficient number of the questions correctly, will receive a Certificate of Competence in Animal Welfare Relating to Falconry Raptors.
